The American Bulldog Registry and Archives was established in 1999 by Tony Mancera, Tony has been collecting American Bulldog pedigrees for 15 years, the ABRA now has over 20000 American Bulldogs in the ABRA pedigree database.

The first ABRA registered litter was born July 18, 1999 out of Rawhide's Hector the Protector ABRA #1087-01 and Watchdog's Sleeper ABRA #1086-01.

The first ABRA registered American Bulldog is KMK's King Mufassa ABRA #1002-00 born July 24, 1997.

Lance and Lesli Rose, owners of Dog Resources and Rebel Rose American Bulldogs purchased the Registry from Tony in January 2005.
