The ABRA Verified Breeder Program
The Verified badge is the highest trust marker in the ABRA Breeder Directory. It cannot be bought. It is earned through registered litters, documented health testing, and an active Breeder Pro membership.
Get StartedWhat the Verified Badge Is
The ABRA Verified Breeder badge is displayed on your kennel profile in the Breeder Directory at pedigreedatabase.ca. Buyers searching for American Bulldogs see the badge as a clear signal that you have met specific, verifiable standards -- not just paid a fee.
The badge appears on your public kennel profile, on individual dog listings tied to your kennel, and in search results. It stays active as long as your Breeder Pro membership is current and your litters remain registered.
This is what a Verified kennel profile looks like in the directory:
This kennel has active ABRA registration, registered litters on file, and documented health testing through the Blue Ribbon health program. Profile is maintained and up to date.
What It Takes to Get Verified
Four requirements. All four must be met before the badge is awarded. None of them can be skipped.
Breeder Pro Membership
Active Breeder Pro membership at abra1st.com ($24/month or $240/year). This is the only membership tier eligible for the Verified badge. Legacy Builder and Free accounts are not eligible.
Registered Litters on File
At least one litter registered through ABRA within the past 24 months. The litter must be in the Archive at pedigreedatabase.ca with valid registration numbers for both parents.
Health Testing Documentation
OFA or PennHIP hip scores for your primary breeding dogs, submitted through the ABRA Blue Ribbon health program. Additional tests (elbows, thyroid, eyes) strengthen your profile but hips are the minimum.
Complete Kennel Profile
A fully completed public kennel profile at pedigreedatabase.ca -- kennel name, location, contact information, breeding program description, and at least one photo. Incomplete profiles are not eligible.
What You Get as a Verified Breeder
-
★
Verified badge on your kennel profile -- visible to every buyer who searches the Breeder Directory. The badge links to the Verified Breeder page explaining exactly what it means.
-
★
Priority placement in directory search results -- Verified kennels appear above non-Verified listings when buyers search by location or breeding type.
-
★
Verified flag on all your classifieds listings -- every litter or puppy listing you post at pedigreedatabase.ca shows the Verified badge, increasing buyer confidence.
-
★
Blue Ribbon health results displayed prominently -- your dogs' OFA, PennHIP, and other health results show on their Archive profiles and link back to your kennel page.
-
★
Stud listings included -- Breeder Pro membership includes the ability to post stud listings at abra1st.com and in the classifieds. Verified studs appear at the top of stud search results.
-
★
Trust that is earned, not purchased -- because the badge requires real activity (registered litters, health tests), buyers know it means something. It differentiates you from the large number of unregistered breeders in the marketplace.
How to Become Verified -- Step by Step
Upgrade to Breeder Pro
If you do not already have a Breeder Pro membership, go to abra1st.com/register.php, create an account, and select Breeder Pro. Monthly ($24) and annual ($240) options are available. Annual saves $48 per year.
Register Your Litters
From your Breeder Dashboard, use the Litter Registration form to register any litters you have whelped. Each litter costs $20 and generates Puppy Papers for every pup. If you have previously registered litters with ABRA, they may already be in the system -- check your dashboard.
Submit Health Testing
From your dashboard, submit your breeding dogs' health testing results through the Blue Ribbon program. You will need OFA or PennHIP numbers. The system links directly to public OFA records for verification.
Complete Your Kennel Profile
Go to pedigreedatabase.ca and ensure your kennel profile is fully complete -- name, province/state, contact info, a description of your program, and at least one photo. This is the profile buyers will see.
Request Verification
From your Breeder Dashboard at abra1st.com, use the "Apply for Verified Breeder" button. ABRA will review your account, confirm all requirements are met, and apply the badge within 5 to 7 business days. You will receive an email confirmation.

Frequently Asked Questions
The ABRA Verified Breeder badge is a public trust marker displayed on your kennel profile in the ABRA Breeder Directory at pedigreedatabase.ca. It signals to buyers that you have met specific requirements: active Breeder Pro membership, registered litters on file, documented health testing, and a complete kennel profile. It cannot be purchased directly -- only earned.
You need an active Breeder Pro membership ($24/month or $240/year), at least one registered litter on file with ABRA within the past 24 months, health testing results for your breeding dogs submitted through the Blue Ribbon program, and a complete public kennel profile at pedigreedatabase.ca. Once all four requirements are met, apply through your dashboard.
Once all requirements are met -- Breeder Pro membership active, litters registered, health tests submitted, profile complete -- the review takes 5 to 7 business days. You will be notified by email when your badge is approved and it will appear on your profile immediately after.
Yes. The badge is active only while your Breeder Pro membership is current. If your membership lapses, the badge is removed from your profile until membership is reinstated. The badge may also be reviewed if ABRA receives documented complaints about your breeding practices.
Verified Breeder listings appear above non-Verified listings in directory search results and in classifieds. Buyers who research before buying -- and experienced buyers almost always do -- actively filter for Verified breeders. The badge is a direct conversion tool.
