# American Bulldog Registry & Archive (ABRA) > The breed's history, preserved by the people who love it. The official American Bulldog registry since 1998: litter registration, permanent certificates, 5-generation photo pedigrees, and the Blue Ribbon health program. ## About ABRA was founded in 1998 by Tony Mancera, Vern Hopley, and Rob Armour as a dedicated registry for the American Bulldog breed. Lesli Rose has owned and operated ABRA since 2005. The registry maintains accurate pedigrees, verifies breedings, and rewards health testing through the Blue Ribbon program. Every registered dog is searchable in the public archive at pedigreedatabase.ca. ## Services ABRA registration is a flat $20 USD: - Single dog registration ($20 per dog) - Litter registration ($20 per puppy, includes the permanent certificate for every puppy) - Transfer of ownership ($20 per transfer) - Kennel registration ($240/year) - 5-generation photo pedigree printing (included with registration) Registration travels with each puppy from breeder to buyer through the ABRA puppy handoff. There is no separate puppy-paper conversion fee. ## Blue Ribbon Program The Blue Ribbon health program rewards breeders whose sire and dam both pass hip, NCL, and ICH testing.
